Introductory Training

The IOGAP combines the expertise of international and local world renowned group analysts and group psychotherapists

offering Education &Training for those wishing to become Group workers and Therapists as well as Advanced skills training

for currently practicing Group Workers and Therapists under a two tiered programme. Ongoing membership offers Collegial

and Educational Events. The Certificate Course runs for one year and as the name suggests one receives a certificate of

completion that implies training in group dynamics. This certificate does not  on its own comprise aa qualification to work as

a Clinical Group Therapist although most who do this certificate will haave alternative clinical qualifications enabling them to

run clinical groups. Non clinicians who wish to understand group dynamics for other purposes would find the  certificate course

highly valuable and fascinating. Knowledge of Group dynamics has application in all types of organisational work.
